Statement from Local Schools: Frimley Park Hospital Site Proposal

Local school leaders from across Surrey Heath have issued a joint statement regarding the proposal to relocate Frimley Park Hospital to the Frimley Fuel Allotments site. While supporting the urgent need for a new hospital, the signatories have raised concerns about the potential impact of the proposal on pupil safety, school access, local transport infrastructure and the wider community.

The statement highlights concerns about increased traffic on routes used daily by thousands of pupils, the effect of construction activity near schools, and whether the surrounding road network can safely accommodate the demands of a major acute hospital. School leaders have also called for greater clarity on transport planning, infrastructure requirements and community engagement before any final decision is taken.
